Our camp family
We have a dedicated team of people living and working at the camp. They form a supportive, caring community in our remote location. Most fill multiple roles and help each other as needed.
All program staff are:
Trained in the wilderness therapeutic camping model
Trained in Wilderness Survival techniques
Certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
Certified in First Aid
Certified in CPR
Certified in Lifeguarding
Passionate about wilderness living
Our founders
Ron Weber is our Executive Director. He oversees all areas of the camp, especially Program and overseeing capital projects. He is our visionary and pioneering founder. Ron was a Counsellor at Fairplay Wilderness Boys Camp for two years. Following that, he was a Group Work Supervisor at Bald Eagle for two years with Cindy (and their children).
Cindy Weber is our Director of Operations. She makes sure everything runs smoothly, working behind the scenes in many capacities. Most people know her from the kitchen, which she manages seemingly effortlessly. In the early days of camp, she cooked for all the boys and staff in a tiny kitchen without a dishwasher.
They have been married for over 25 years, and are the parents of four grown children, who spent many of their formative years at camp.
